ginza jazz

did i mention that i'm having a good time? no? yes? well, sheesh, i'm having a good time.

spent the day shopping in a distict that i can't remember or pronounce yesterday. so many people and sounds and lights and stimulus, i'm finding it really wears you out, just to walk around taking it all in. at night we went to a swanky jazz club (had to wear a tie. eek!) in ginza that james is playing at. such a treat. thank you james. all the staff loved us, and they even had a resident magician. yes, an in-house magician. we ate food that came out in a box full of dry ice. not sure what it was. some fish, pork, jellyfish, and everything tasty. james played really beautiful jazz piano, and was modest all the way. booked in four an intimate magic show, which was pretty good. what can you say about magic. really. it's all a trick...
went for walk to see all the other thousand or so clubs in a three or four block district. didn't go into any because it could have cost us anywhere up from a thousand dollars, just to walk in. we'll just leave those places to the drunken japanese business men roaming the streets, on company money. there was plenty of them around.

smokezones of the city. if you run out of cigarettes, you can just stand around and passive smoke. handy.

an instructive diagram explaining what dropping a cigarette butt means to the city. there really is three cleaners for every piece of garbage too. bad smokers :(

we shopped some, and then got the sushi outta there.

nj bought kitkats from a vending machine, and thought it was a drink. not sure what's weirder, the snack size kitkats in a glass jar, or the fact that nj wanted to drink a kitkat flavoured drink.

super police come to the rescue, as long as there isn't too much paperwork. and as long as the guy who mugged you doesn't have a question mark over his face.
